This season marks the beginnings of A Thousand Koi, an ongoing photographic series exploring landscape as psychological space.

Developed over an extended period, the collection considers repetition, fluidity, and quiet transformation. Each work isolates a moment within a shifting field of water and movement—where abstraction begins to dissolve representation. It draws heavily from Abstract Expressionism gestures and Chinese watercolor ink fluidity.

The koi function less as subject and more as presence. They are movement without destination. Form without fixation.

The series is presented as archival canvas, mounted and stretched over wood, and encased in natural maple floater frames. Scales range from intimate works suited for private collection to larger pieces designed for architectural installation.

Installation views below reflect the intended spatial rhythm of the collection—measured spacing, visual breathing room, and a cumulative atmosphere rather than a linear narrative.
